WHO WE ARE

UKEMA is a member association that seeks to enhance SME’s access to capital by helping policymakers and regulators as they develop new frameworks that supports the regulation of healthy and robust equity markets.

Our members represent nearly 60% of all the shares traded by volume on the London Stock Exchange and approximately £28.8 trillion in value in 2021.

We engage policymakers and regulators on behalf of small and mid-cap investment banks and equity brokerage firms to drive investment (particularly in SMEs) which in turn, supports job creation, and economic growth in order to improve the attractiveness of the UK as a place to raise capital.
